International 886 Problems

International 886 Problems - Everything is working, ta feels very good and all brakes and power. International 886 series b tractor hydraulic malfunction. At around 4500 hours the torque amplifier (ta) of our international 886 series b sometimes slipped and left the tractor. I have had shifting problems since buying in 2025. So far replaced clutch, trans brake , flywheel. It shifts fair for awhile then gets to scratching the gears again. Most of the 358's starting problems have to do with not knowing how to start them. There is an overfuel/starting position on the stop cable on the 756/826 tractors that most. We've got an ih 886 that we use for hay work, mowing and plowing our hayfield. Yesterday it had been for plowing and hour when it started to make a gear ratchet and growl. As i have posted on here before, i have recently bought a 1982 886 with an elwood fwa unit underneath it. This machine was bought with the knowledge of a few dilemma's with the ta. Since being home a few more issues have risen. My 886 coming into spring had 0 problems. In between first and second cutting installed a new (to me) monitor for my liquid app system on 575 nh. As i have posted on here before, i have recently bought a 1982 886 with an elwood fwa unit underneath it. This machine was bought with the knowledge of a few dilemma's with the ta. Since being home a few more issues have risen. My 886 coming into spring had 0 problems. In between first and second cutting installed a new (to me) monitor for my liquid app system on 575 nh. Tied into a constant. My ih 886 w/loader will not move or the hydaulics work when the tractor becomes warm. If i let the tractor cool down then it will work again for a short period of time until it gets. As long as the starter spins when bypassing the solenoid the most common problem is a worn contact on the battery cable stud. Remove the cable from the solenoid.
